Bio

Specialising in automotive commercials, corporate, branded content and broadcast factual entertainment for world leading brands, Chris Hook's Directing experience has an immense pedigree.

Clients include; Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ford, Land Rover, Lexus, Lotus, Nissan, Range Rover, Renault, SEAT, Sony Gran Turismo, Subaru & Vauxhall.

All work Directed by Chris is led by a grounding in dramatic narrative and the creative.

 

His previous work includes music videos and concerts with The Cure, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Genesis & Queen and cinema and television commercials for Land Rover and Ford, plus over 200 hours of broadcast television for the BBC, including Top Gear, ITV for Goodwood plus Channel 4, Discovery and Sky.

Drive

From initial creative with impeccably researched locations, Chris's drive is to compose a great crew and deliver the very best graphical visuals which stand up frame by frame, laced with exceptional sound design, for edits that resonate.

His Directing experience spans multi-camera commercials abroad with 75 crew, to just 2 on the snowy Arctic tundra of Norway, with a -25 wind chill, he's equally at home in each.

For broadcast; Chris created the TV format for Gran Turismo GT Academy & was instrumental as a Director in developing the distinctive look for Emmy winning BBC Top Gear.

With over 200 hours of presenter-led broadcast experience as a Producer Director and Creative Director, Chris Hook acts series wide,  from concept to theatrical, broadcast or digital performance.
